Affirmative Action Ruling Gives 5.0 GPA High School Junior Chance To Be Accepted to Central Community College

Qing Ho, a Junior at Hasting High School in Hastings, NE, has let the world know that she is celebrating today. With the US Supreme Court’s 6-3 decision to overturn Affirmative Action, Qing believes that she finally stands a chance to get an application approved to the educational juggernaut that is Central Community College in Grand Island.

Qing, who’s friends have referred to her as Queen Ho ever since a game of ‘7 Minutes In Heaven’ played with Jake Wilson in 6th grade, plans on taking advantage of this new potential path. Prior to this decision, Qing planned to settle for admission to a pay-to-graduate university such as Creighton.

While Affirmative Action was in place, many Asian Americans were systematically rejected from colleges in order to make room for less qualified White, Hispanic, and Black students. This meant Qing, who has never gotten a single problem, question, or assignment (outside of Driver’s Ed) wrong, may have been passed over to allow in a student that actually had a life in high school instead.

While popular among Miss Ho and other Asian Americans, this court decision has seen much push back from those, such as President Joe Biden and The Saltwater Press’ own trust fund baby Joseph Saltwater, that do not believe that Black and Hispanic students could accomplish being admitted to schools based on merit alone.
