Police Ignore ACAB Sticker, Pull UNL Student Over Anyway

Gerald Mayah, a UNL Student, has filed an official complaint against the Lincoln Police Department, alleging that officers “trampled” his first, fifth, and thirteenth amendment rights by spotting his ACAB bumper sticker and still pulling him over for going 20mph over the speed limit.

“I know they saw my sticker,” exclaimed Gerald Mayah, the nineteen-year-old student who claims his rights were violated. “I drive a black car and the sticker is white. There’s no way they didn’t notice! But they pulled me over anyway. Because they’re cops. And all cops are Bastards!”.

“ACAB”, an acronym for “All Cops Are Bastards”, is often used as a political slogan associated with dissidents who are opposed to the police. Its use has increased since the Black Lives Matter movement in 2021.

Officer Chester Gregory, the patrolling officer in the incident, defied both direct orders from the chief of police and advice from his lawyer to give us the following comment: ”So what if I saw the sticker? Doesn’t change the fact that he was breaking the law. And I don’t know why he’s so upset in the first place—white kids have no reason to fear the police, it’s those minorities that we’re afraid of!”

Mayah says that he is looking to pursue a civil suit, but first he needs to find a lawyer who won’t laugh before the end of the initial consultation.

Elanor isn’t just a minority hire here at The Saltwater Press, she’s also a possible minority fire someday too. But don’t worry, due to the glass ceiling, she’ll only receive 80% of the severance the rest of us get. So she won’t be too big of a leech on society.
